The best of the harvest, set aside for you.

For four weeks, we’ll put aside a box of the freshest seasonal produce growing at Wide Sky Acres — giving you first pick before it reaches the Farmshop.

What is a First Pick Vege Box?

For four consecutive weeks, you’ll receive one box of fresh, seasonal veges picked from what is growing best on the farm that week.

Because nobody loves everything, you can choose one item you’d prefer not to receive.

What will be in my box?

That changes with the seasons — which is part of the fun.

Your box will be filled with a mix of what is fresh, ready and tasting its best that week. Have a look at our Spring and Summer boxes below for an idea of what may be included.

When do I collect my box?

Boxes are collected from our Farmshop at:

192 Bells Road, West Melton 7671

Saturdays, 8am–6pm

Your four collection dates will be listed when you choose your subscription.

I’m away — can I collect another day?

Because your produce is harvested and packed specifically for that week, unfortunately we can’t reschedule missed collections or carry boxes over to another week.

You’re very welcome to have a friend or family member collect for you — or gift them your box for the week. They’ll probably be pretty happy about it.

Any boxes not collected during the scheduled pickup will be forfeited.

Can I gift a First Pick box?

Absolutely. It makes a lovely gift for someone special — or a very practical care package for someone who could use one.

Simply fill in the online form and let us know in the notes that it’s a gift. Add the recipient’s email address so we can send them their collection information.

We’ll be in touch approximately two weeks before their first box is ready.
